Although it is a novel, because of its food interest The Camel Trail was entered in the World Gourmand Cookbook Awards. It was chosen as the UK winner in the category 'Best Food Literature book 2007'. For more details go to www.cookbookfair.com

I am so pleased to hear about the prize. I read the book last year and was just checking the site to see if Ms Jackson is working on something else. She really deserved the prize. The way food snakes its way through the narrative is delightful.
